A good friend of mine has a fitness tumblr account thingy…
I respect that.
I had a look and ended up looking at other fitness inspiration blogs. That’s cool. Fitness and wanting to look hot is all good.
But you CANNOT have a “you are beautiful no matter what you eat/do/devour/hoover/etc” picture RIGHT NEXT to a picture that says “get off your lazy ass and exercise!” or “stop eating unhealthy!” and all these other things saying the only way to be happy and healthy is to not do those things you just said were okay.
Oh yeah, and if we’re all beautiful then none of us are.
Face it.
Some people are just ugly motherfuckers.
Have a nice day!
(Also, feel free to enjoy this picture. It’s something I drew for an old friend, pretty much a summary of Blades of Glory.)
Starting university soon.
After backing out of my gap year due to certain things falling through, I’ve never been so excited for the next step in my life. Countless people have told me I’m going to love the uni lifestyle and I can’t wait to have a distinct change of pace.
I feel like this is going to be the start of something, not just a degree, but a new me. That sounds corny as all hell, but I plan on joining the university gym, being healthy, packing a lunch (to save money and be healthy), trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit more and join more things, read more, write more, be more confident doing things by myself.
I’m starting this program of self confidence by buying some things tomorrow by myself. This may sound strange but I’ve never gone to a mall by myself with the intention of just purchasing things for myself and leaving, not having met anyone in between.
Hopefuly it’ll have an affect on a lot more aspects of my life and I wont feel the constant need to talk to people via social media or texting (having no credit sucks balls). I’m not much of a texter, but jesus. Not being able to call or send responses is like being socially nutered.
I’d really like to get a typewriter for my birthday… considering I’m turning 19 soon. I like the idea of how relaxing it would be. I like the feel of typing but with computers there is so much here to distract you so you can’t just write down your thoughts or a story. Even now I’m tempted to check other websites even before finishing this here rant/update.
At any rate, I’ll upload a drawing I made depicting an old friend and I and our likeness to the blades of glory characters.
I am not an artist.
Enjoy.
Me: I’m pretty sure I have a crush on Justin Timberlake, as queer as that is.
My brother: Isn’t that a bit too mainstream for you?
Me: Well, no. Because I’m not a douche.
